Why managers prefer Linux Professionals over amateurs?

Linux as an operating system is gaining popularity, with most of the IT infrastructure being migrated to this open source software. With a strong online community supporting the system for trouble shooting and other aspects, it will continue to grow for next two decades at least. For this reason alone there is high demand of Linux professionals and hiring managers always prefer certified Linux professionals. A survey done by the Linux foundation has found out that around ninety percent of the mangers prefer Linux certified professionals. So if you want to learn Linux, whether by taking a Linux class or undergo Linux course online, make sure it is backed by a certification.

Online linux training Linux Course Online

Now let us see which Linux course is the most in demand with organizations. RHCE which expands as Red Hat Linux certified engineer is the most sought after course by trainees as well as the managers. The reason for this course scoring over other Linux distributions is the way in which this course is designed. While taki8ng this certification the trainee undergoes practical experience of an enterprise environment. This means when a manager hires an RHCE, he has proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills in a real environment. This is critical for organizational success.

Another reason is that the certification is backed by a well structured exam which the candidate has to pass. Training for a specified number of hours is essential which sharpens the skills in Linux. Another course which is very popular is the RHCSA which is for hard core administrators.  If you really want to make a career as a Linux administrator, RHCSA can take you to the top.

The managers always prefer well trained Linux professionals as they will contribute more to the organization and are better suited to solve problems. This means less problems and less down time for the IT infrastructure which is a critical success factor.

Reasons for Linux based IT infrastructure being considered secure

Linux is considered to be more secure than Windows systems for IT infrastructure uses. In Linux Course Online the first thing that is considered is the enhanced security features Linux distributions provide. Windows on the other hand is more concentrated on being user friendly, and thus you can find many loopholes in security of Windows based IT infrastructures. Also maintaining Windows infra costs money, which is very scaled down in case of Linux. While you learn Linux you will understand why Linux is more secure. Here are a few reasons why Linux scores over windows as a system for IT infrastructure building.

Linux Fundamentals training

Access to Admin – In Windows users gets Administrator access by default and this is dangerous. Administrator has access to almost all systems, more so the crucial parts. When a virus attack happens the whole system can be paralyzed. In case of Linux users will never have the “root” access. So when a virus attack happens in Linux only the local files are affected and that can be quickly restored. In a business setting this is crucial in adverting major catastrophe. This is the first thing you will learn in a Linux class.

Mail attachment Viruses – The most common type of virus attack is the mail attachment. Someone just goes about sending mails which are lucrative, like “You have won $ 1 Million” or some porn messages. People invariably click and the virus is in. In case of Windows it will affect crucial part of the system as the user also has access to many crucial root files. However with limited access to users in Linux the damages are only local.

Open source system – Linux is an open source system, so at a time more people are involved with fixing loopholes and bugs in the system. Windows has lesser number of people working on fixing loopholes as it is paid and protected code. This means that even if Linux encounters a bug it will be fixed quickly. That is the beauty of Linux as an IT infrastructure system and thus is loved by companies. There are many Linux training institutes which will help you learn this aspect of the most secure system for building IT infrastructure.

These are the main reasons for Linux being preferred by most companies. Also it is more cost friendly where you will save money on licensing as well as running the system.

Differences between Linux Servers and Windows Servers

Talking of web hosting companies, most deploy either the Windows or Linux based web hosting servers. Yet, to make the correct choice between the two, an individual must have the knowledge of Windows and Linux Essentials. The basic differences between the two have always managed to set them apart. But lately, they have bridged the gap and apart from the open source v/s the proprietary characteristic, the two are strikingly similar. The differences between Linux servers and Windows servers have become less marked now. While Windows had some distinct leads earlier, Linux has sprung back into the arena with user friendly as well as visually appealing control panels. One advantage that Windows still has is the recognisability, which makes usage familiar. A great solution to this is enrolling for the Online Red Had Training for fundamentals of Linux.

1 Open Source v/s the Open Sores

linux coaching

Okay, agreed it’s a bit too off – base to refer to the Windows proprietary as ‘open sores’. (Let’s just keep it though, as pun!) In terms of access to the code, the two systems are strong against each other. System administrators prefer the open source as it allows them to get inside. The code of Windows, on the other hand, is held as private information. As of hosting plans, it isn’t necessary to opt for Windows server if you have Windows OS. The primary advantage with Linux is that code can be accessed immediately and any fixes can be made. Fixing bugs and making improvements is much easier with Linux.

2 Costing

The relative inexpensive nature of Linux is one of the major reasons for its popularity. The cost of Linux and Windows serves differs significantly.

3 Support

Support is also a major point to differences between Linux Servers and Windows Servers. Paid help – desk support is offered by Windows for their users. On the other hand, users of Linux rather rely on the peer support from the massive online community. Helpful information can be obtained from forums and chat boards. The only drawback is the time consumed. Calling a help-desk is more helpful when running short on time. Also, importance as well as access of support does significantly depend on technical expertise of the user.  You can learn Linux and get the Red Hat Linux Certification. Also, users of Linux desiring for paid help – desk access can purchase contract for Linux support with Red Hat. (See! There is a solution to every problem.)

4 Security

Definitely, the security is an important aspect to be considered. Both Windows as well as Linux systems have potential security issues and vulnerabilities. Though some administrators claim that Linux has higher risk compared to Windows, security need not be a major concern for a good administrator.

While Linux seems to be one of the most prevalent web hosting operating systems, due to its ease of installation and low costs, windows surely serves as a strong alternative with the world class support. The proprietary and open source servers have their pros and cons which need to be considered and evaluated. You can learn more about Cloud Computing, get Linux Fundamentals training as well as enjoy the convenience of your own place with Online Red Hat Training programmes for Linux education.

It will reduce costs like buying new disk drives or reduce the risks with older operating systems. Well KVM is all about use of virtualization and sharing of resources. Online Linux training also includes training on KVM which is the acronym for Kernel based virtual machine. KVM is an excellent open source virtualization solution. It supports almost all operating systems and provides flexibility and scalability as per the organizational needs. It is a part of Linux education. KVM converts the Linux kernels as per the system and uses the advance features of the x86 chipsets to deliver high performance value. It also incorporates SELinux with all its features into the system. This increases the security level and prevents compromises of virtual machines.

linux coaching Popularly known as KVM hypervisor technology, it is competing with other virtual machine systems and is an essential part of Red Hat Linux Certification and Openstack training.  Shared resources are the future and hence KVM is really the future of technology worldwide. Let us have a look at other benefits that KVM offers to its users.

  • Open Source – This is the clincher for KVM technology. As the technology is open source, it is flexible and the type of partners is not limited to a single type. This gives the choice of interlinking and interoperability. This is really the necessity of many of the Multi Nationals who have businesses in varied areas. A part of Red hat class in all Linux coaching.

  • Cost effective –Most of the virtual machine solutions offer to share resources. Hence the cost effectiveness is there in all the virtual machine solutions. Server occupancy. Lower power consumption and thin clients are obvious benefits. KVM offers the technology at roughly 33% lower prices which adds to the savings of the organizations. It delivers value and there is no licensing cost. So it is technical and financial advantage both at the same time. Hence it is taught in Linux Introduction.

Red Hat Linux Certification

  • Easy and flexible Scalability – KVM architectural superiority allows it to be expanded to meet the users’ demands. It is easy to scale as per the operations. This is unlike other virtual solutions which are developed as per the users’ requirements and hence are rigid in their architecture. This is the reason Linux Course Online include in their modules.

  • Secure environment with High Quality of Service – SELinux capabilities come with Linux. Since KVM utilizes Linux MAC (Mandatory Access Control) security between two virtual machines can be easily provided. Add to that KVM has been tested by US security agency NSA and found to be secure. It is being used actively by homeland security project. Another feature is the Quality of Service guarantee. Since the Linux kernel is the basic building block for KVM. Hence threshold for each part of the system can be pre determined. So while working on virtual machines created by KVM there will be no issue of Quality of Service.

These excellent features of KVM have enabled it to progress by leaps and bounds as a technology. Red Hat Linux Certification includes KVM training in its modules and that itself speaks for the technology. No other word is required in its support. So when you are taking Linux class pay attention to this amazing and the technology which will rule in the future.
